StackprintBot
Stackprint shows what public websites are built with. To do that, a small bot reads what every visitor's browser already receives. It is polite on purpose.
- What it reads
- Your DNS records, the response headers of your home page, and that page's HTML. Nothing behind a login, no forms, no crawling of inner pages.
- How it identifies itself
- User-Agent: StackprintBot/0.1 (+https://stackprint.pages.dev/bot)
- How often
- Once per scan someone asks for, and on a schedule of every 7 or 30 days for sites people look up. Never more than one request to your home page per scan.
- How to stop it
- Add “User-agent: StackprintBot” and “Disallow: /” to your robots.txt. We check it before every fetch and stop at once.
- What we keep
- The specific header, DNS record or line of HTML that proves a fact, with the time we saw it. Never the full page.
